Verses

The following verses can help keep life in perspective, like plumb lines.  Some are directly instructive, and others are inspirational—particualrly if you study the context.  Personal discipleship requires discipline and practice. Memorizing these verses can make your reactions—and your decision making—instinctively wise.  And they can lead you to peace.

The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
Galatians 5:6b (NIV)

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
John 16:33 (NIV)
